Tanya, David, Caz, Robbie, Hannah and Frank all joined me again for another fun session on the water. I had a first today, first time I’ve seen a Minke Whale on a session. We didn’t just see it, we had it surface just a few metres from our boats! It gave us all a bit of a shock when it first appeared.
Sadie and Tim joined me again a year to the day since last time. We headed out from Gairloch this time and had extremely calm water to paddle on – practically no ripples at all.
Luke and Gemma are traveling the NC500 on their honeymoon, what better way to celebrate than a trip kayaking with Ewe Canoe! We had a good calm afternoon to enjoy the scenery from. I spotted a couple of white tailed eagles on the hill side, as we watched them they took off and soared across the skies above us, then another took off to make it three eagles!
Ian, Jenny, Rachel and Alex joined me for a morning kayaking. We had some extremely calm water to paddle on – it was almost ripple free for most of the morning – very relaxing!
Alison and John joined me for an afternoon exploring the waters from Gairloch harbour. As well as seeing seals as we paddled about when we got back to the harbour we spotted an otter swimming about catching it’s tea.
Debbie and Ian spent the morning kayaking with me. We headed out from Gairloch harbour around to Kerry Bay. It was a high tide but because it was very calm we were able to spot a good amount of wildlife though the water as well as seals watching us.
Kristin, Kirsty, Graham, Christine, Gerard and Shraveena all met me for an afternoon kayaking from Gairloch harbour. We headed out to explore the coastline and see what wildlife we could spot.
Amy and Luke joined me on a damp, grey and breezy morning. The weather didn’t dampen our spirits and we headed out at high tide to explore the area and have some fun on the bumpy sea.
Andrea and Darren joined me for an afternoon paddle. We had a nice low tide so got some good views of starfish and crabs as we explored the craggy coastline around Inverewe.
Sue and Stuart moved to the area a few months ago after years of visiting on holiday. We headed out to explore the coastline around Inverewe garden.
Karen and Alistair are in the area for a week and wanted to get out to explore by kayak. We headed out around the fantastic craggy coastline from Gairloch harbour. The low tide and calm waters gave us fantastic views of starfish and urchins.
Laura and Matthew joined me in Gairloch for a nice morning kayaking. We headed around the great coastline as a change from driving on their NC500 adventure.
Amy and Stephanie met me to paddle as part of their NC500 adventure. We spotted some great starfish as we paddled about at low tide.
Tony, Lindsay, Ken and Lesley all joined me for a mornings kayaking. We headed out to explore the coastline near Boor. After our brew break we found some tasty seaweed to munch on as a wee snack.
