Sarah, Ross, Cole and Evie joined me for a morning paddling around the craggy coastline at Gairloch. We headed around to spot a seal as it watched us paddle by.

Oliver, Ryan, Tom and David joined me for an enjoyable paddle around the coastline at Inverewe. They’ve tried booking with me in the past but it’s taken till this year for me to be able to fit them in.

Neil and Claire came across from the east coast to get out on water. We managed to miss the showers and had a sunny paddle exploring the coastline.

Susie and Sue joined me to explore the coastline around Inverewe garden. As we paddled around we had an inquisitive group of seals join us to see what we were up to.

Jill and Ian joined me for a nice afternoon paddling around the coasting of Inverewe garden at Poolewe. As we headed around we had a number of seals come along to watch us, they kept us company all the way back to the shore when we got off the water.

Cassidy and James joined me on the water, they were wearing wetsuits so I joked that they’d be keen to practice rescues – turned out they were keen. So we spent some time practicing rescuing each other from deep water and then we practiced climbing back into our own kayaks from deep water without any help from each other and without toppling back in during the process. They both did well with these skills, skills that every person who goes kayaking should learn and practice regularly.

Calum, Ivan, Max, Grace and young Seb joined me for an afternoon on the water. We had some fun playing games, spotted wildlife and explored some islands and coastline.

Lillian, Henk and joined me just along from where they were staying at Bliss Haus. We had a beautiful day with blue skies, low winds and sunshine to explore the coastline around Mellon Charles. On our journey we saw a host of bird life, a few seals and an otter munching on a fish.

Alice, Sofia, Chris and Amelia joined me on a breezy and dismal looking morning, it didn’t take long for the weather to improve with sunshine and calmer winds for us to get onto the water in. We had a trip out to Boor rocks to munch on some seaweed before heading back to the mainland.

Holly and Bob joined me on Holly’s birthday for a paddle around. We explored the coastline from Poolewe whilst trying to keep in against the shoreline to be protected from the breeze. Not a bad way to celebrate on your birthday!

Kelly and Jit are having a trip around Scotland and wanted to experience it from the perspective of a kayak. We headed out around Inverewe garden and found a group of seals to watch as they swam about watching us.

Julie has been out with me before and we’d tried to get to Loch Maree in the past but the weather didn’t play ball. Today was a great day on the loch, calm waters, low wind and even some sunshine!

Isabel and Roger met me for a kayaking trip from Poolewe. It was Roger’s birthday, so this was a great way to celebrate. The wind picked up a little in the session giving us a some little waves to play with.

Nick and Sarah joined me on a very sunny and calm morning in Poolewe. I’d had to swap things around a bit to fit them in today because I had to cancel on them a couple of days ago because of a mountain rescue callout. I don’t like doing that but if I do then I do like to try to fit folk in at some point if possible.

John, Alex and Duncan met me in Gairloch to get out in the sea kayaks. We had a paddle around the coastline to Kerry Bay where we had a relaxing brew on the beach.

Georgia, Sarah and Freddie joined me to explore the craggy coastline around Mellon Charles. They’re staying in Loch Ewe Luxury Pods which is just along the road from where I live, the weather was suitable for paddling from Mellon Charles so we set off onto the sea as close as we could.

Caroline and Michael joined me as part of their tour around the highlands. The sunshine was lovely to paddle in and the breeze didn’t cause us any issues, we just pushed on through it on our return to the harbour.

Anna and Neil came out with me a couple of times last year and since then they’ve managed to move across here. We had a beautiful morning with blue skies and sunshine.
