Roberts paddle, Gairloch
Alan, Andrena, Callum, Carys and Aidan joined me for the afternoon. The wind had picked up since the morning, meaning we had a slightly tougher paddle but that didn’t stop them all having a great time splashing about!

Lesley, Iain, Euan and Ailsa spent the morning in canoes, paddling from the harbour at Gairloch. Collecting a bit of debris from the beaches is something that generally always gets done little by little, today Euan picked a huge fish crate to clear off the beach. Luckily we had just enough space in our canoe!
Sandy, Wendy and Scott spent the morning kayaking around the bay at Gairloch with me. They chose the sea kayaks from my range of boats and did well in them.
Lorna and Steven spent the afternoon on sit on top kayaks with me. They were slightly trepidatious after a bad experience many years ago kayaking with someone else. Something that they particularly liked about my sessions is that I don’t mix groups ever, so you’re getting a private session just for your group. Their confidence levels skyrocketed and were paddling well around the scenic coastline.
Russell, Susan, Innes and Struan spent the morning canoeing with me. We had plenty of calm water to explore the craggy coastline and watch the seals watch us. One particular seal kept following us everywhere!
Lucy, Emma and Matt spent the afternoon exploring the waters around Badachro in sea kayaks. We had plenty of seals seeing what we were up to as we glided past them.
Gordon, Lesley and Ruby spent another morning paddling with me, sadly Grace couldn’t make it due to injury. We’d paddled a couple of years ago when they where doing the NC500 in a motorhome. After realising how amazing it is up here they’re spending a week in Gairloch and a week down in Plockton!
Luca and Tim had amazing weather for our paddle around the shore of Inverewe Garden. The seals were swimming around watching us and it was so hot Luca decided to take a dip when we stopped for our brew break!
Philip and Patricia had a great afternoon for exploring the loch Gairloch. Sunshine, seals, blue seas and skies. Perfect!
Philip and Helen had a beautiful blue sky morning out on the water with me. It was the sort of day that everyone hopes for!
Peter and Mark had been out on the water with me a few years ago, this time they brought along Matthew and Gary too. A fun and wet time was had splashing about on the sit on top kayaks.
Jo, Sanfur and Jenny came on a canoeing adventure with me. Sanfur was stuck in my boat as Jo and Jenny were keen to paddle tandem again after last time we were canoeing with the scouts.
Kirsty and James met me on what was due to be a windy morning but instead we had perfectly calm still waters to glide around on!
Arnold had been kayaking with me a few years ago and was keen to get back on the water with me. He’s got his own boat but hasn’t had time to get out in it lately, so a relaxing day paddling gently around the islands was in order.
Rob, Fiona, Will and Matthew spent a fun morning paddling around the craggy coastline. Even when the sky is grey it doesn’t stop everyone smiling and having a great time!
Joanne, Andrew, Ben and Ewan joined me in sea kayaks for an afternoon on the water. We practiced some strokes to make exploring the bay easier.
Chris, Amanda, Chloe and Rosie joined me in canoes for a fun morning. We had a great time exploring the coastline and spotting tiny starfish dangling on the rocks.
