Andrea, Carl and Isla joined me again for an information and skills filled session. We ended the session with some peer rescue practice – all planned, no accidental capsizes!
Catherine, Bruce and Gaspard joined me to get out on the water. Catherine and Gaspard opting for sea kayaks and Bruce going for a canoe, they’ve all done a reasonable amount before so the wind didn’t cause too many issues as we explored the bay.
David, Lynne, Cian, Eoghan and Shea all met me for a fun morning on the water. David and Eoghan teamed up as did Lynne and Shea, leaving Cian to paddle by himself.
Jen, Jason, Matthew, Morven and Ruairidh met me in Poolewe to explore the coastline in kayaks. A initial good breeze gave us a workout, but we soon had calmer water and an easier time.
Graeme, Jess, Ruby and Dougie met me on a grey and damp morning in Poolewe. The weather didn’t dampen our spirits and we had a good time out on the water. So good that a seal came along to follow us around and see what all the fun was about.
Duncan, Susan, Finn, Rob, Laura and Finlay all met me for a fun afternoon out in the sea kayaks. The drizzle didn’t dampen their spirits with Finn even taking a dip. Whist we sat having a brew an otter swam about and ate his lunch.
David, Julie, Holly and Rory met me in Poolewe for a good session on the water. Even before we got on we spotted a few porpoise heading across the water in front of us.
James, Sunette, Angus and Logan joined me for an afternoon kayaking. As we headed around the coastline we had a seal follow us about keeping an eye on us.
Jane, Angus and Serena joined me in Poolewe for a session in the sea kayaks. We headed up around the coast to see what we could fine. We watched some seals whilst the sun shone down on us.
Romilly joined me for an afternoon kayaking. We explored the craggy coastline of Mellon Charles, spotting a good range of wildlife as we pottered about.
Mike and Jamie met me again for a morning exploring the coastline around Mellon Charles. The calm seas and no wind was the opposite of their session a couple of days ago from Poolewe! The calm seas helped up watch a group of porpoise hop through the water in the loch.
Mike had been out with me a few times last year and this time he brought along Natalie and Jamie to join in on the fun. We had some waves and wind to give us a bit of a challenge but they all did well.
Paul and Jess met me in Poolewe to get out on the kayaks. Paul chose a sea kayak and Jess went for the more stable sit on top kayak. We had spells of sunshine but also heavy rain, but that didn’t damper our spirits!
Rachael and Mike joined me in Poolewe for a paddle to explore the coastline and see what we could spot. Despite a bit of a breeze at time it was a good afternoon with some nice sunshine.
