Macdonald kayak, Poolewe

Sara and Andy live over in Beauly and are thinking of getting themselves some kayaks. We headed out with a sit on top kayak and a sea kayak to test them out and see which ones they liked the most. The verdict – well, they like both styles of boats and still don’t know, but at least they now have a much better idea about them and can make more of an informed decision.

Sam & James kayak, Poolewe

Sam and James joined me to explore the craggy coastline around Inverewe garden. We had a bit of a breeze and some fun waves to battle against at times, then at others it was relaxed and peaceful.

Gareth & Jan kayak, Loch Maree

Gareth and Jan joined me for a day to paddle around the islands of Loch Maree. We had tranquil peaceful paddling between some of the islands and bumpier windy paddling in parts to test our skills a little!

Kenny kayak, Poolewe

Holly, Margaret and Richard all met me for an afternoon kayaking. Exploring the coastline and calming nerves on the peaceful and beautiful coastline.

Nick & Anita kayak, Poolewe

Nick and Anita joined me again for another session on the water. We had lovely conditions to paddle around in, the glossy calm water allowed us to spot lots of star fish on the sea bed below our boats.

Ben & Fiona kayak, Gairloch

Ben and Fiona joined me on a glorious morning. We had bright sunshine and warmth for our paddle around the craggy coastline. Some interesting wildlife as we paddled around including a crystal jellyfish, very uncommon in these parts.

Goodspeed kayak, Poolewe

Juliet, Kelvin and Ed all joined me for an afternoon on the water. We paddled around the craggy coastline of Inverewe garden on a very calm day – hardly a breath of wind.

Katie & Aaron kayak, Poolewe

Katie and Aaron met me in Poolewe just opposite where they stayed at the campsite. We headed out in the sea kayaks and explored the coastline around Inverewe garden, having a curious seal join us for some of it.

Finlay kayak, Gairloch

Roddy, Sarah and Calum joined me again for another session on the water. This time we went from Gairloch and had some very friendly seals hang around us and then an otter pottering about on it’s business in front of us.
