Lindsay, Neil and Kyle met me for an afternoon of paddling. It might not have been as sunny as it has been but that didn’t worry us, who needs the sun! We went for the nice stable sit on top kayaks and found their confidence inspiring nature helped us have a great time.

Amy & Shaun kayak, Poolewe

Amy and Shaun joined me as part of their NC500 adventure. Nerves were soon forgotten as we made our way around the craggy coastline of Inverewe Garden. Despite the grey skies it was a lovely morning splashing about.

Copp kayak, Poolewe

Sarah, Jonathan, Mathew, Daniel, Christopher and Alexander met me for a morning on the water. All the young folk looked asleep when they arrived, it didn’t take too much splashing about before they were fully awake – a wet sponge piranha to the face tends to sort sleepiness!

Smith kayak, Gairloch

Paul, Jemima, Kirsten, Ailsa and Rory met me again for another session on the water. A nice low tide kept everyone calm and quiet for a while as we watched the wildlife below the surface, plenty of starfish. It wasn’t too long till it was a noisy and wet session on the water!

Gedge & Co kayak, Poolewe

Michael, Tyler, Stu, Helen and Duncan all met me for an afternoon kayaking. We explored the coastline and looked for wildlife. A seal stopped by to watch us at one point as we explored Boor rocks. Blue jellyfish are always nice to see too!

Marjoleine and Eva met me for a morning kayaking near Poolewe. For a while we focused on some paddling skills before exploring the coastline. Whilst we sat having a brew on a beach we spotted this little stoat watching us.

Pineau kayak, Poolewe

Emma, Laurent, Chloe and Rose came to kayak with me in the evening. In the middle of our session we had a visit from a huge ray or skate – something I’ve never seen happen before. We had a very large ray push a couple of our boats around a bit and make some big splashes – a bit of excitement!

Fergus & Co kayak, Poolewe

Fergus, Callum, Andrew, Lewis and Tom joined me for an afternoon kayaking. They’re all friends from their uni days and are holidaying in the area together. A few marine biologists in the group so the pressure was on me to test them – luckily sea weed wasn’t one of their specialities!

Georgia & Co kayak, Poolewe

Georgia, Kezia, Eli and Adam met me for some fun on the water. They’re friends of the King Blumenow group that I had out just a few days ago – both great groups out on the water.
