With the governments move to stage 2 I’m now able to start operating on a small scale. I shall be sticking to government guidelines along with the guidelines produced by the Scottish Canoe Association.

Since I never mix groups you can be assured that you’ll not be joining a session with other people.

I can only cater for local people in this, I will not be accepting bookings from anyone who does not live in my local area. Have a look at the details above for a bit more information. If you’d like to book an adventure then please email or call me.

It looks like we’ll move into phase one in a week, that means we’re allowed back on the water again! It’s got to be the longest period that I’ve not been out in one of my boats for many years, so it will be good to be out paddling.

Typically I’ve only just got around to getting my canoe into the garage to give the wooden gunwales a bit of tlc! All my other boats are sat waiting ready to go.

It looks like it will be a little while yet before I’ll be able to take groups out again, but keep contacting me if you’re keen to get on the water and we’ll sort something out when we can.

Ruth and Simon met me at Gairloch harbour to explore the craggy coastline and spot wildlife. We had the normal seal sightings as we headed around, the seals being just as interested in us as we were in them. The crystal clear water enabled us to spot lots of tiny spiny starfish along with the occasional huge one.

John, Barbara and Jame had some lovely calm weather for their adventure. We set off just across the road from their campsite and explored the coastline around the world famous Inverewe Garden. The water was crystal clear, letting us spot plenty of wildlife below the depths.

Ray and Nicola were staying on Dry Island and fancied exploring the seas from kayak during their stay. The weather was good for paddling from Badachro, so we set off on the sit on top kayaks on an adventure around Eilean Horrisdale.

Mark and Clare met me for an afternoon on the water. They chose the sea kayaks and we spent the afternoon exploring the craggy coastline and watching wildlife.

Alison and Jon joined me for a good morning exploring the rugged coastline by Gairloch. We might not have had the blue skies and sunshine that everyone hopes for, but it was a lovely morning on crystal clear water.

Leah and Jamie came paddling around the shores of Inverewe Garden to see everything from a different perspective. As we looked at the amazing scenery seals watched us paddling around.

Jeff, Katie and Isobel spent the morning learning paddling skills, spotting wildlife and exploring the exciting coastline whilst having fun!

Greg, Jane and Duncan came out with me for another session, we went to Badachro as they’d not paddled there before. Yet again, a good fun session on the water!

David and Nicola had a calm morning exploring Eliean Horrisdale in sea kayaks.

Matt, Alison, Rebecca and Charlotte enjoyed an evening on the water. The light during evening sessions always makes it feel special!

Ian, Nicola, Lucas and Jonah had a good afternoon exploring the coastline, spotting wildlife and learning skills.

Jim, Beth, Fran and Louis spent a sunny morning exploring the rocky coastline by Badachro.

Alison and Will join me again for another day on the water. It was a bit breezy to do too much today so we spent the time sheltering from the wind by Inverewe and practiced support strokes and rescue skills.
