Ritchie Igoe kayak, Gairloch

Alison and Martin had some sunny weather to kayak around from Gairloch harbour. They were keen to learn kayaking skills as they’re keen to do more in the future.

Sarah and Paul used sit on top kayaks with me to explore the craggy coastline south from Gairloch harbour. As normal we spotted seals in the water as we paddled around.
Michael, Alena, Tom and Ales paddled with me in a mixture of boats. They opted to have a canoe, a sit on top and a sea kayak.
Ed, Anna, Charlotte and Daniel spent the morning learning canoeing skills around the coastline at Inverewe Garden. So keen to practice their skills they even practised some canoe rescue skills at the end!
Alison and Will joined me for a paddle around the Isle of Ewe on a bit of a breezy day. As we paddled around the Boom beach we bumped into an otter.
Owen, Robbie and Adam joined me for a fun morning paddling around the coastline by Inverewe Garden. It must have been a warm day as Robbie threw himself into the sea at one point!
Duncan, Margaret, Maha and Iman spent a sunny relaxing afternoon exploring the coastline, spotting seals and learning paddling skills.
Andrew, Paula, Callum and Robert spent the afternoon kayaking with me. We explored the craggy passages and coastline around Mellon Charles under blue skies.
Charles, Rowan, Jamie and Denise enjoyed a sunny morning with me. Charles and Rowan had been out with me way back in 2013 and it was great to see them again, this time paddling on the opposite side of loch Ewe.
Keith, Keri and Rose joined me for an afternoon kayaking from Gairloch. Learning skills, having fun, spotting wildlife and relaxing in the sunshine!
Laura, Greg, Logan, Rebecca, Esther and Kieran all joined me for a morning on the water. Most of them have been out on the water with me before a number of times, so I knew what to expect! Some of them took on the challenge of standing on the buoy, with only Rebecca managing to get off without falling in!
Anne, Jim and Rory came out with me for a session, learning some paddling skills whilst having fun and spotting wildlife. This seal wanted to pose for photos!
Chris, Neetu, Rohan and Arun came out in kayaks with me. We set off from Gairloch harbour to explore the coastline south down into Kerry Bay.
Colin, Erin and Owen joined me again for another session on the water. The weather was perfect, making it great for exploring the craggy coastline.
Fay, Camilla, Ben, Poppy, Flo, Heidi and Barnaby all joined me for a busy session on the water in the sunshine. The Weather was perfect for a fun session exploring the coastline and wildlife by Gairloch in kayaks.
Gavin, Rachel, James and Connor met me for a fun mornings paddling. Connor jumped in a canoe with me whilst the rest went in kayaks. Obviously the tandem Conor/Connor canoe was the best boat on the water!
Olivia, Jack, Rachel and David met me for a morning paddling around Inverewe garden. All was going well until Jack got a bit carried away during a game and ended up swimming!
Gemma and Andrew spent the afternoon exploring the calm waters around Inverewe garden. The forests of egg wrack and bladder wrack sea weeds might not be part of the garden or even planned but I quite like gazing into them looking at life below the surface!
