Barker kayak, Poolewe
Lee and Dee joined me to get out on the sit on top kayaks. We set off to explore the coastline, having just the one heavy shower of rain whilst we sat having a brew on a beach.

Duncan and Lorraine joined me on a hot afternoon in Poolewe. We explored the craggy coastline around Inverewe, playing around with some paddle strokes to help them today and in the future in their canoe.
Suvi and Jaakku met me for a paddle from Poolewe. We had bright warm sunshine and very calm seas to explore the loch on.
Allison and Will joined me yet again for a nice paddle around the headland from Cove to Camas Mor. It was a perfectly calm morning, with blue skies and sunshine to make it a perfect day.
Kris, Hilde, Anne, Lukas, Andries and Simon joined me for a sunny afternoon exploring the craggy coastline of Inverewe. The wind had picked up a little since the morning to give us some fun little waves to play on.
Arnold has paddled with me a few times before, this time we set off from Poolewe. We started the session with completely still water and bright blue skies, a fantastic morning to paddle. We were even watched over by a huge white tailed eagle sat on top of a nearby crag.
Jen and Anthony joined me on a sunny afternoon to explore the coastline of Mellon Charles. We had a very low spring tide and so were able to spot hundreds of starfish and urchins all around the craggy coastline.
Rebecca, Hugh and Minna joined me on a stunning day to learn some kayaking skills and practice some rescue skills. They’ve recently got themselves some kayaks and are keen to learn how to get on the water safely.
Emily, Chris, Jack and Charlie all joined me for a fun afternoon exploring the coastline. The low tide showed us lots of urchins and starfish.
Kieron and Rachel joined me on a sunny morning to explore the craggy coastline by Gairloch harbour.
Matilda, Alice, Jeremy, Sarah and Alexander all joined me for a fun afternoon splashing about on the water by Inverewe garden. We learnt some skills, played some games, watched some seals and munched on seaweed as we paddled around.
Christoph, Laura, Noah and Lia all joined me for a fun morning on the water. My German language skills are a bit rubbish, so Noah and Lia had to put up with listening to me rabbit on in a funny language and then have their parents ignore my rubbish and tell them the important bits!
Greg and Duncan joined me for another session, their fifth, with me. Sadly due to a recent injury Jane couldn’t make it out this time. We set off from Inverasdale and paddled to Poolewe. The waves gave us some exciting paddling to test our skills on.
Jamie, Leanne, Monty, Erin, Rebecca and Edward all joined me for another session on the water. As we paddled around we spent lots of time playing games and splashing about, the majority of them all taking a swim at some point!
Laurissa, Matt, Will and Anya all joined me again, just a couple of years since their last session with me. We explored the other side of the loch at Poolewe from last time, having fun with some games as we paddled.
Eve, James, Rachel and Gareth met me for an afternoon kayaking. We headed off to explore the craggy coastline around Inverewe. Some curious seals followed us around watching us as we watched them.
Andrew, Catherine, Rosa, Ewan and Alex all joined me for a morning kayaking. They went for the sea kayaks and we headed off to learn some skills, have some fun and spot some wildlife.
Janet and Helen joined me for a damp afternoon on the water. Janet’s other daughter and family had joined me earlier in the year on a sunny day, so they wanted to have a nice time on the water too. It wasn’t quite the blue skies and sunshine, but even on a drizzly grey day it’s still great to get out on the water!
