Ben & Fiona kayak, Gairloch

Ben and Fiona joined me on a glorious morning. We had bright sunshine and warmth for our paddle around the craggy coastline. Some interesting wildlife as we paddled around including a crystal jellyfish, very uncommon in these parts.

Goodspeed kayak, Poolewe

Juliet, Kelvin and Ed all joined me for an afternoon on the water. We paddled around the craggy coastline of Inverewe garden on a very calm day – hardly a breath of wind.

Katie & Aaron kayak, Poolewe

Katie and Aaron met me in Poolewe just opposite where they stayed at the campsite. We headed out in the sea kayaks and explored the coastline around Inverewe garden, having a curious seal join us for some of it.

Finlay kayak, Gairloch

Roddy, Sarah and Calum joined me again for another session on the water. This time we went from Gairloch and had some very friendly seals hang around us and then an otter pottering about on it’s business in front of us.

Bryan kayak, Mellon Charles

Bryan was keen to practice some self rescue skills, so we met up on a lovely afternoon and chatted through safety kit that’s worth having to get you out of an issue, then we got on the water and got wet. He did well, being able to empty his sea kayak and hop back on without any help or extra tools. It’s all about having the right technique.

Elly & Rob kayak, Mellon Charles

Elly came out with me about seven years ago, then a few years ago she bought Rob a voucher as a present (what a fantastic present if I say so myself!), covid got in the way a wee bit and finally they made it out with me on the water. We had super weather and great wildlife to watch.

Young kayak, Poolewe

James, Lucy, Eva and Benjamin all met me for a morning on the water. It ended being a very wet session with Eva and Benjamin jumping in lots off the kayaks.

Rhodes kayak, Loch Maree

Allison, Will and Lucy couldn’t keep away and joined me again for a paddle about on Loch Maree. I’ve been on Maree with Allison and Will a fair few times already but it’s always a nice place to explore. It is important to follow the code of conduct to help prevent disturbance and damage to the wildlife and habitats.

Pankonin kayak, Poolewe

Dirk, Andrea, Lilith, Emma and Maleen met me in Poolewe for a fun and wet session on the water. I don’t only do this job so that I can splash people, but it is a perk!

Rutherford kayak, Poolewe

Greg, Jane and Duncan joined me again for another session on the water. This is their fourth year out with me, I don’t seem to be able to shake them! This time they came out in the sea kayaks and thoroughly enjoyed them.
