Sarah, Calum, Greg, Roddy, Rachel and Fay spent paddled with me. Most of them have paddled with me previously, for some reason they still came back!
Lynette and Megan kayaked with me on a slightly grey day. Despite the lack of sunshine it was still a great afternoon exploring.
Deney and Harriet spent the morning in Poolewe, kayaking around the shoreline of Inverewe garden.
Not quite a real session, it was my mum’s birthday and they were up for the week so we went for a canoe to a remote beach to have coffee and cake (great cake from Coast Coffee!).
Mark, Caroline, Chris, Leanne and Alex spent the morning on very calm water with me. We paddled from the harbour at Gairloch, just a short distance from where they were staying.
Martin spent the day with me kayaking around the bay, learning skills, seeing the scenery and spotting wildlife.
Ali and Rebecca chose a canoe for their adventure. We had a nice low tide which made it easy to spot starfish and crabs below the surface, it was hard to stop gazing down through the water!
Greg, Cicky, Bill, Naomi, Lauren, Murray, Jamie and Dianne all spent the morning having fun at Poolewe. We paddled around the coastline by Inverewe garden under a blue sky and sunshine!
Michael and Stephanie had great conditions for our paddle around Mellon Charles. When we get nice low spring tides it’s great paddling as we get to spot lots of wildlife above the water level.
Racheal and Chris spent a sunny morning paddling the craggy coastline at Mellon Charles. Beautiful calm waters and blue skies!
Dan, Tim & Nick kayaked with me on Loch Ewe. We had a very low tide and were able to see huge numbers of starfish and other sea creatures as we paddled around the coastline. On our journey back towards the beach we spotted a group of porpoise.
Jack and Jack spent the morning on some super calm water, it was so calm we could gaze through the clear water and easily see the sea bed meters below.
Howard and Amy were on their roundabout way to drop Amy off at Glasgow uni from the far south – what better route than to pass Wester Ross?! They’re due out kayaking again in a few days, so chose sit on tops today and they’ll compare them to the sea kayaks they go in next time.
Steve and Kate spent the morning paddling along the coast from Poolewe. As we paddled the tide went out and we were able to spot more wildlife under the surface.
Philippa and Trevor joined me for a sunny morning on the water. We had a reasonably low tide at the end of the session which enabled us to spot a few starfish as we paddled around the craggy coastline.
Sadie and Tim had a calm start to their session, but the wind picked up and gave us some fun waves to play with at the end! Sadie now lives in Gairloch and is keen to explore the area from the water as well as the land!
Amy and Andrew joined me for a very calm session at Poolewe. We had almost mirror like water which was great for spotting crabs and starfish through the water. Plenty of seals inquisitively watching us too!
